MP3s for the learning and practicing Messiah Choruses by part with lyrics
This site contains mp3s for all the parts of all the choruses to Handel's Messiah synthesized
with words(lyrics). They are arranged by part (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass), where the relevant part
is in the left channel, and all the other parts including the (mostly
piano) accompaniment are in the right channel (so you can tell when to
come in). It is intended that you read along with your part as you
learn it. When you are first learning, put your balance control mostly
to the left, to hear your part better. As you get more confident, or
want to test that you could sing along without your part, move your
balance to the right, to hear more of the other parts. If you don't have a balance control,
consider unplugging the right speaker, until you're comfortable with your part,
or, if you're using headphones, pull the right ear-piece away from your head.
Music on this site is provided free of charge for the purpose of people
learning it. You may copy & use for personal use (or for the
use of members of your choir/group to learn), but you may not sell,
re-distribute or make money off this in any way without further
permission. See legal stuff for details.
If you have Harmony Assistant (or Melody Assistant by Myriad) the
